Steven Cox is a founding principal and the Design Director of Cause+Affect. A multi-disciplinary designer, he is focused on strategic brand developments and architectural experiences. He leads a diverse range of brand and exhibition projects including the Movers and Shapers exhibition series, Vancouverism, Building the City, the re-branding of The Vancouver Film Studios and continued development of Rize Alliance Properties. Concurrent to his work at Cause+Affect, Steven sits as an advisory board member to the Vancouver Film School and continues to act as an external consultant to many of Vancouver’s leading real estate developers.
With over 12 years experience in Architecture and design in Canada and the UK, Steven began his career in the offices of design heavyweights Alison Brooks Architects and Softroom in London and Arthur Erickson in Vancouver. His diverse design work has included award winning housing developments, museum exhibitions, retail interiors and brand campaigns for clients including Virgin Atlantic Airways, Selfridges, The Victoria&Albert Museum, jorg&olif and Volkswagen.
As a former Architect, Steven’s work is grounded in a clear understanding of the physical experience, allowing him a unique perspective for his firm’s graphic, web and video work. Steven received a Bachelors of Environmental Studies and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, and professional qualifications as a British Architect from the South Bank University in London, UK.
